Radius Telecoms Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Manila Electric Co., teamed up with Cignal TV Inc. to form RED Broadband that will provide unlimited fiber broadband and pay television service, competing with Sky Cable Corp. of the Lopez Group.
Radius Telecoms said it established RED Broadband because more people were spending time online amid the pandemic and that there was a need for faster and more reliable internet access for online education and work-from-home needs.The telecom company said it was responding to a nationwide clamor with RED Broadband, the country’s newest and most reliable broadband internet player.Cignal TV’s partnership with Radius Telecoms would bring to every Filipino home the best fiber broadband and pay TV service designed for every household budget, it said.Cignal TV transmits 121 channels including free-to-air, SD and HD channels to household and commercial venues nationwide. It also offers a mix of 12 audio channels and on-demand service through pay-per-view channels.
Radius Telecoms said RED Broadband would offer unlimited fiber internet plus Pay TV plan for as low as P1,299 a month.With more than 5,000 kilometers of fiber optic cable deployed, Radius Telecoms extends across the Mega Manila area, Clark. It with plans to expand in other major cities in the Visayas and Mindanao by 2021.Radius Telecoms said it is also present in all major telco nodes and data centers. It is one of the preferred connectivity providers offering dedicated internet access, global networking, managed and cloud services including SD-WAN and zero trust networking solutions.
