Iran's investment in aluminum industry hits USD 2.7 B

TEHRAN, May 11 — Deputy Industry, Mine and Trade Minister said that Iran's total investment to achieve 470,000-ton capacity in aluminum industry is USD 2.7 billion.

Speaking in the opening ceremony of the 4th International Aluminum Conference Mahdi Karbasian reiterated that the total production of aluminum ingot hit 350,000 tons last year which was over 74% of production capacities.

He said that Arab countries together with egypt achieved 5,700,000 ton-capacity with USD 42 billion investment in 2010-2014. (PNA/IRNA)
