SAN JOSE, ANTIQUE, Jan. 21 — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Antique Provincial Office has already approved business name registrations of 80 businesses right in the first month of 2016.

The DTI Antique Provincial Office, under newly-assumed OIC-Provincial Director Mercedes A. Young, said most of the approved business names are for new entities.

DTI has been busy conducting the Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) in the different municipalities of Antique province this January to bring its services right to where its clients – the micro-businesses – are located.

The BOSS is also being participated in by rural health units for sanitary permits, police for clearances, and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and Social Security System (SSS).

It was conducted in the towns of Sibalom last January 14, Barbaza, January 18; Patnongon, January 19; and Belison, January 20.

Last year, DTI Antique approved 1,469 business names, 1,214 of which are new businesses and 255 were renewals. These increased by nine percent compared to the 2014 level. (PNA)
