Firecrackers hurt three during Christmas day

CAMP MARCELO ADDURU, Tuguegarao City, Dec. 26 — The Police Regional Office 2 (PRO-2) here have recorded three firecrackers-related injuries on Christmas Day.

PRO2 public information officer police Chief Insp. Chevalier Iringan, said Christmas celebration in the region was generally joyful and peaceful.

He said this was due to the successful Philippine National Police (PNP) campaign "Iwas Paputok" which prohibited the vendors to sell and discouraged the people to buy deadly firecrackers.

Iringan also reported, there was no injury or death reported due to stray bullet and indiscriminate firing incidents in Cagayan Valley Region.

Iringan said the celebration of Christmas was very peaceful. (PNA)
