LTSP to host Skills Olympics

BAGUIO CITY, Feb. 7 — The League of Tourism Students of the Philippines, Baguio City Chapter will host a Skills Olympics on Feb. 13-14, 2015 at the University of Baguio and the CAP Convention, Camp John Hay.

In an interview on Saturday, Vanj Payno, Chief of Staff of the Baguio Flower Festival Foundation, Inc. (BFFFI) said the activity is one highlight of the community led events for this year’s month long 20th Panagbenga 2015 festivities.

Payno said, around 800 students, representing the different universities from the National Capital Region, Northern and Southern Luzon and the Visayas region, are expected to participate in the two-day olympics.

Among the events to be participated in are the tour guiding, flight attendant showmanship, photography, quiz bee, and virtual tour guiding competitions.

Aside from the competitions, Payno said the league will also host the 6th National Tourism and Hospitality Tourism Convention, here in Baguio City.(PNA)
