SIBALOM, Antique, Dec 3 — Culasinos, the local folks of the Culasi town in Antique province, take great pride on the natural beauty of their home. From its majestic, forest-covered mountain to the peaceful beaches and remote islands, Culasi is sure to delight visitors.

Culasi, a coastal town in Antique, is located 90km. north of the province’ capital town San Jose de Buenavista, 72km. south of Caticlan and 88km. south of Kalibo in Aklan.

For tourists, here are some of the things that you can do while in Culasi. You can hike, or maybe just admire from afar, the cloud covered slopes of Mt. Madja-as, the highest mountain in Panay standing at a height of 2,117 meters.

The local government unit of Culasi, because of the distinct feature of Mt. Madja-as, holds each year the Madja-as festival, which is also its way of celebrating the foundation week.

Tourists can also stop to refuel their vehicles at the Flying V, grab a tasty bite to eat at the Meriendahan sa Naba and also billet at Villa Anita Lodge or drive down the tree-lined FC Mosquera green boulevard.

Other must see sites to be visited are the Rizal Park, World War II Veterans Monument, Children’s Playground , Covered Court, Madja-as Confederation Freedom Park, Public Market and Seaside Park and the bustling downtown area.

Stop for the day or spend your night at your choice beach resorts. There are the Bodjie’s, Unidos, Angelo’s by the Sea, and Paragon 88. While in Malison, one of the beautiful islands in Culasi that is popularly visited by tourists, one can relax on the beach and explore the corals.

Interested tourists can make arrangements with Culasi local officials to reach another natural beauty Batbatan Island, the scuba diving haven Maningning Island and Camancijan, the jump off point to Rio Guintungaban.
