Magnitude-3.2 quake jolts Davao Oriental

MANILA, Mar. 1 — A magnitude-3.2 earthquake jolted the province of Davao Oriental on Saturday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

In its bulletin, the agency said the tremor occurred at 6:20 a.m. with its epicenter traced 37 kilometers southeast of Tarragona town in Davao Oriental.

Phivolcs said the temblor, which was tectonic in origin, had a shallow depth of 22 kilometers.

The agency noted that there was no casualty or damage reported from the quake.

Phivolcs further noted that aftershocks are not expected as well. (PNA)
