MANILA, May 22 — Some parts of Northern Luzon and Southern Mindanao may expect light rains due to a diffused tail-end of a cold front and intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), according to Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Wednesday.

In its advisory, PAGASA said that the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, Davao and Zamboanga Peninsula will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.

The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will continue to experience sunny to partly cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms mostly over the western section due to local convection or thunderstorms or rains in places where clouds have been formed due to the heating of the earth’s surface.

The temperature recorded in Metro Manila was at 32 degrees Celsius on Tuesday afternoon.

For Wednesday, Metro Manila may expect temperatures of 26° to 34° Celsius while Tuguegarao City may expect temperatures of 25° to 31°C, Angeles and Olongapo cities may expect temperatures of 25° to 32°C.

PAGASA also said that light to moderate winds from the southeast to south will prevail over Luzon coming from the east to southeast over the rest of the country.

The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate. (PNA)
