(Update) 4 wounded in Marawi grenade blast

MANILA, May 13 — Four people were injured when still unidentified men lobbed a fragmenation grenade at the Cabingan Primary School, Barangay Cabingan, Marawi City Monday afternoon.

Brig. Gen. Daniel Lucero, 1st Infantry Division commander, said the incident took place around 2:40 p.m.

He identified those injured as Lopito Salic, Sinumbai Bangon, Jaber Pagayocan and Abdullah Pagayocan.

The school was one of the polling centers in Marawi City.

Lucero said that the 15th Infantry Brigade troopers immediately secured Commission on Election (Comelec) personnel and PCOS machines inside the school.

He said the blast took place as voters at the Cabingan Primary School have already cast their votes.

Investigations are now ongoing to identify the perpetrators. (PNA)
