Light rains may fall over Palawan, Visayas, Mindanao Wednesday

MANILA, May 8 — Light rains may fall over some parts of Mindanao due to the inter-tropical convergence zone affecting southern Mindanao while the easterlies or warm winds from the east are affecting the eastern section of Luzon and the Visayas,the state weather bureau said Wednesday.

In its advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Palawan, Western Visayas and Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms.

The rest of the country including Metro Manila will have mixture of sunny and rainy weather and will have partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.

Metro Manila forecast temperature for Wednesday is from 25-35 degrees Celsius. On Tuesday afternoon it was recorded at 35.3 degrees Celsius.

In a special weather forecast, cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms would be expected in the Mayon Volcano area in Albay province.

PAGASA also said moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the northeast to east will prevail over Northern Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast with slight to moderate seas. (PNA)
