Comelec has sent 129 notices on poster violations

MANILA, April 11 — The Commission on Elections has sent 129 notices on poster violations to 23 senatorial and 35 party-list candidates in the May 13 midterm polls.

Based on the document by the Comelec’s Law Department, as of April 9, United Nationalist Alliance senatorial candidate Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito has received the most number of notices with 8.

The UNA senatorial aspirant was followed by Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara of the Team Pnoy and Independent candidate Eduardo “Bro. Eddie” Villanueva with five notices each.

Angara’s party mate Benigno “Bam” Aquino got four notices.

Three notices were sent to Risa Hontiveros Baraquel, Juan Ponce Enrile Jr., Sen Gregorio Honasan and Ernesto Maceda.

Two notices were given to Teodoro Casiño, Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV, Juan Miguel Zubiri, Sen. Francis Joseph Escudero, Sen. Lorna Regina Legarda, Margarita “Ting-Ting” Cojuangco and Richard Gordon

Edward Hagedorn, Nancy Binay, Sen. Aquilino Pimentel III, Ma. Ana Consuelo "Jamby" Madrigal, Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano, Cynthia Villar, Ramon Magsaysay Jr. and Mary Grace Poe-Llamanzares each received one notice.

Meanwhile, the Comelec also released the list of poster violators for party-list candidates.

The party-list groups that received the most number, with 8 notices each are Buhay Hayaan Yumabong (Buhay) Party-List and LPG Marketers Association Inc.

Four notices were given to Kabataan Party List, Akbayan Citizens’ Action Party and Anti-Crime and Terrorism-Community involvement and Support Inc. while three notices were sent to Sanlakas Party List and Katribu Indigenous Peoples Sectoral Party.

Puwersa ng Bayaning Atleta, 1 Join Alliance of Marginalized Group Inc., Anak Mindanao, Anak Pawis Party List, Advocacy for Teacher Empowerment, Action Brotherhood for Active Dreamers Inc, Gabriela Women’s Party, 1 Bro-Philippine Guardians Brotherhood, TUCP and Association of Laborers and Employees each got two notices.

While, one each were sent to Piston, Magdalo, Binhi, Bagong Henerasyon, An Waray, Democratic Independent Workers Association Inc., Alliance of Volunteers Educators, Isang Alyansang Aalalay sa Pinoy Skilled Workers, Ang Parti ng Mga Pilipinong Marino Inc., Isang Lapian ng Mangingisda, Agricultural Sector Alliance of the Philippines, Ugnayan ng Maralita Laban sa Kahirapan, 1-BAP, Alay Buhay, Abakada, Adhikaing Tinaguyod ng Kooperatiba and Arts Business and Science Professional.
