BALANGA CITY, Bataan, April 8 –Team Pnoy senatorial aspirant Ramon Magsaysay, Jr. recently said he has no problem with Mitos Magsaysay, one of the candidates of the opposition United Nationalist Alliance (UNA).

He even described his niece as a good congressman.

"Only issue here is – if you want to elect a senator in the opposition, vote for Mitos. If you want to elect a senator who will work with PNoy to unify our doing the dye, vote for me."

President Benigno Aquino, Jr. is working hard for the election bid of 12 senatorial candidates, one of them former Senator Magsaysay.

"If you want PNoy to be on his right, straight path, vote for us. That is as simple as that," said the son of the late President Ramon Magsaysay, Sr. and the former Luz Banzon of Balanga City.

Magsaysay was in Balanga as guest in the Alumni Homecoming of graduates of the Bataan National High School, formerly Arellano Memorial High School over the weekend.

He echoed the battlecry of his father of giving social justice and equal opportunities in health and education for all.

"Those who have less in life should have more in law," he said to the cheering of the alumni dating as far back as graduates in 1939.

Magsaysay voiced opposition to political dynasty, saying it is not a good practice, not healthy and not democratic.

Once re-elected senator, he said he will lessen his assistance to infrastructure projects like farm-to-market roads and instead give a big chunk of his Priority Assistance Development Fund (PDAF)to scholarship of students he will encourage to take hard courses like science & technology, engineering and accounting.

Part of his PDAF will also go to communal irrigation, potable water, post-harvest facilities and processing of coffee and other products common in the localities. (PNA)
