LLDA set to benchmark Pangasinan's award-winning program

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, March 30 — Officials of the Laguna Lake Development Authority ILLDA) visited Pangasinan last week to get information about its successful program "Ilog Ko, Bilayen Ko" (My River, I Will Make it Live".

The LLDA team conducted a meeting with the provincial officials led by Governor Amado Espino Jr. and retired Col. Fernando de Guzman, executive director of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (PDRRMC) and its spokesperson Avenix Arenas.

The visitors were members of the LLDA technical working group led by Jacqueline Devo, licensing officer III.

They expressed interest in the province's award-winning “Ilog Ko, Bilayen tan Aroen Ko” program, which is one of Pangasinan's best local government unit practices which they would like to benchmark within Laguna Lake.

The program earned for the province Hall of Fame award from the Regional Development Council (RDC) for the last three years.

While here, they lauded the efforts of the Pangasinan provincial government in getting rid of its illegal fish pens and fish cages. (PNA)
