50 PCOs, PNCOs; Army team awarded during the Regional 22nd PNP Foundation Day Celebration

Butuan City, Feb. 4 — Fifty deserving police commissioned officers and non-commissioned officers were awarded for their "meritorious and conspicuous acts displayed in the performance of their duties" during the regional celebration of the 22nd foundation day celebration, 8:00 a.m. Monday morning held at the PNP PRO 13 grandstand.

Awarded with "Medalya Ng Kadakilaan" (PNP Heroism Medal) were PInsp. Joseph D. Hasigan and PInsp. Saldy C. Maestre who led two composite platoons of Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office and the Regional and Provincial Public Safety Company in conducting successful combat operations against the CPP-NPAs and the successful rescue of an abducted Civilian active Auxiliary member at Sitio Tilancog, Caigangan, Veruela, Agusan del Sur on October 8, 2012.

Other recipients of the same medal include: SPO3 Venerando Madelo, PO2s Russel Fuderanan, Dan Michael B. Etang and Henry Solario; PO1s Charliemen C. Cabiad, Enrique R. Villamor, Jr., Midzfar Sahipa, Frank Cercado, Arnel Tecson, Merwen Dalumay, Ian Rey Bagtong, Richard Ayala, Nino Avisado, Libby Jay Alas, Santiago Mutia, Ricarte Opiso, Junrey G. Perater, Donald Barrios, Jevins Lou Tanio, Benjamin Tianio, Paul E. Lapingcao, Adrian Manlimos, Bonito Padilla, Melquiades Besas, Anthony Van Roncales, Manuel Catubig, Dario Lavilla, Nasser Haje, Lloyed Bryan Gegone, Goldie Gerona and Gilbert Panuncio.

The "Medalya Ng Kagalingan" (PNP Medal of Merit) was also awarded to PInsp. Christian L Rafols II, leader of the Butuan City Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team for being the first to respond and conducted hot pursuit operation to the robbers who hit the pawnshop Lucebinino Jewlry and Pawnshop, Inc. located at P. Burgos St., corner San Francisco St., this city on November 3, 2012. Recipients of the same medal includes: PO3s Jansen Ignacio and Madjid G. Abbu; PO2s Jeiereil Sabaricos, Joel Yurpo, Mar Alipayo, Rudic Dizon, Darryl Lugto and Jose Artiaga. The same medal was awarded to two other commissioned officers for separate accomplishments: PInsp. Aldrin Adrian M. Lingbawan for a successful operation and subseqent arrest of a CPP-NPA member and a suspect for the crime of "murder" with "frustrated murder" on September 12, 2012 at Purok 3, Brgy. del Monte, Talacogon, Agusan del Sur. Another recipient of the same medal was PSInsp. Gerson Soliven for the neutralization of Dino Group who accordingly were responsible for the series of robbery-hold up incidents in the province of Surigao del Norte. The timely and proper coordination made by his team had accordingly upset the plan of the criminal group to kidnap a prominent family in Surigao City on November 14, 2012.

A senior police official PSSupt. Inocentes Capuno was awarded the "Medalya Ng Kasanayan" (PNP Effeciency Medal) for his invaluable services rendered as officer-in-charge of Dinagat Island Province Police Provincial Office from December 6, 2010 until December 19, 2012. He was cited for his splendid performance during his incumbency. The same medal was also awarded to PSupt. Sukarno A. Abas, for his invaluable services when he assumed as chief of the Regional Legal Service Office. Under his term, out of the 194 unresolved cases of various administrative offenses involving personnel of PRO 13, 187 cases had been resolved. Another officer recipient of the same medal was PCInsp. Reynante N. Sibayton. He was cited for demonstrating exemplary efficiency, loyalty and devotion to duty during the conduct of follow-up operations and investigation to the other fleeing suspects of the robbery hold-up incident at the Lucibenino Jewelry and Pawnshop, Inc. on November 3, last year.

PSSupt. Jane A. Aunzo was awarded the "Medalya Ng Papuri" (PNP Commendation Medal) for her exemplary services and duty rendered during the unity walk for peace on January 13, 2013. The "Medalya Ng Ugnayang Pampulisiya" (The PNP PCR Campaign Medal) was also awarded to PSSupt. Benson D. Leleng, for his meritorious achievement in the field of police relations during the successful distribution of relief goods and mass feeding to the victims of typhoon Pablo at Sitio Baugo and Brgy. La Fortuna, Veruela, Agusan del Sur on December 14, 2012. The "Medalya Ng Pagtulong Sa Nasalanta" (PNP Disaster, Relief and Rehabilitation Medal) were also awarded to PInsp. Edwin C. Sapa and PO2 Rexie L. Lapez for their active participation in conducting search and rescue operations (SARO) at Compostela Valley and Davao Oriental Provinces during the typhoon "Pablo" on December 5, 2012. (PNA)
