MANILA, Dec. 4 — Due to typhoon "Pablo", the preliminary investigation of the Department of Justice (DOJ) on the Aman Futures pyramiding scam scheduled in Pagadian City will not push through on Wednesday.

According to Senior Assistant State Prosecutor Edna Valenzuela, head of the Special Panel of Prosecutors handling the case, they decided to cancel the hearing because of the bad weather.

Meanwhile, Prosecutor General Claro Arellano confirmed on Tuesday that the preliminary investigation in Cagayan de Oro City will proceed on Dec. 7, 2012 in connection with the pyramiding scam involving the Coco Rasuman Group.

Just last week, the DOJ conducted the first hearing on the Aman Futures case wherein eight respondents appeared and personally subscribed and executed their respective counter-affidavit. (PNA)
