(Metro News) 4 illegal drug traders nabbed; P12M worth of shabu seized in San Juan

MANILA, Oct. 18 –- Four suspected illegal drug traders, two of them Chinese nationals, were arrested, while P12 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu were seized during a buy-bust operation in San Juan City early Thursday morning.

Chief Supt. Leonardo Espina, director of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), said that joint operatives of the Eastern Police District (EPD) Anti-Illegal Drug Unit and San Juan City Police Station conducted the buy-bust operation along Club Filipino St. in Greenhills at around 12:30 a.m

Nabbed were Wang Yong Gui, 30, single, a native of Fukien, China and presently residing in Baclaran, Paranaque City; Dong Jin Chen, 29, also of Fukien, China and a resident of 202 Apartment 1-B Aquino St., Caloocan City; Bryan Legru Chua, 29, and Juveline Mista, both natives of Tacloban City and now residing in Mabalacat, Pampanga.

"The buy-bust operation resulted in the confiscation of more or less two kilograms of shabu with a street value of about 11 to 12 million pesos," said Espina.

Also seized from the suspects were a Honda CRV with license plate No. XKU-222 and a Subaru with plate No. XKV-819.

Espina commended the EPD, led by Chief Supt. Miguel Laurel, and San Juan City Police Station under Senior Supt. Rainier Espina for the successful operation.

Formal charges are now being readied against the four suspects. (PNA)
