10 fugitives nabbed in Metro Manila

MANILA, Oct. 9 –- Operatives of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) arrested on Monday at least 10 wanted persons during relentless operations against fugitives in compliance to the directive of Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Nicanor Bartolome.

In his report on Tuesday, NCRPO director Chief Supt. Leonardo Espina said that 10 persons facing various criminal offenses were accounted for by different Metro Manila police units.

In Quezon City, police operatives arrested Michael Reomalis for reckless imprudence resulting in Damage to Property at Jampoy St. in Talipapa, Novaliches by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 107 of Quezon City.

Another wanted person, Eliseo Gargar, 39, was also arrested at Puregold Monumento in Caloocan City for violation of Republic Act No. 7610 , or child abuse by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by RTC Branch 199 of Las Piñas;

In Valenzuela City, police served a warrant against Haydee Sequitin, 49, for two counts of estafa at Block 19 Narra St. in Hillcrest Village, Caloocan City. The warrant was issued RTC Branch 128 of Caloocan City.

Police also arrested Serafin Silvestre and Jean Silvestre for estafa at 787 Pablo St. in Malinta by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by RTC Branch 75 of Valenzuela City.

Members of the Manila Police District (MPD) Station-8 arrested Rodolfo Soriano for grave threat along V. Mapa Street in Sta. Mesa, Manila based on the complaint of victim Jerryson Dalite.

Also, the patrolling elements of MPD-Station-1 arrested Wilfredo Galvez, 32, while in possession of one caliber .38 revolver for violation of Republic Act No. 8294 or illegal possession of firearms along Road 10 in Tondo, Manila; and Malandro Guerrero, 31, was arrested at Bldg. 8 Permanent Housing in Tondo, Manila for violation of Batas Pambansa No. 6 or illegal possession of bladed or pointed weapon.

MPD-Station 4 patrollers arrested Enrique Bernardo, 19, for violation of Republic Act No. 9262 or anti-violence against women and children at Susan Street in Sampaloc, Manila after mauling a 17 years old victim.

In Marikina City, patrolling elements of Police Community Precinct-2 of arrested Ruth Cruz, 53, during anti-illegal gambling operation for violation of Presidential Decree No. 1602 or illegal gambling along Milyong St. in Barangay San Roque. The arresting policemen confiscated from Cruz’s possession the beting paraphernalias

Espina said that the intensified operations against wanted criminals was in compliance to the directive of Bartolome, who ordered all police units to launch all-out campaign against fugitives. He said the relentless efforts of the Metro Manila police against law violators will continue. (PNA)
