PNP hands over P2.4-M reward money to tipsters responsible for arrest of 17 fugitives

MANILA, May 29 – The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Tuesday handed over P2.4 million worth of reward money to informants instrumental to the arrest of 17 wanted fugitives.

Included in this list was the person who gave authorities the information which led to the arrest of Lord Minor, who is charged for three counts of rape and subject to an arrest warrant issued by the Alaminos City Regional Trial Court Branch 54.

PNP Director General Nicanor Bartolome personally handed the P200,000 reward to the above-mentioned individual.

Also, the reward money of P250,000 was also given to the person responsible for the apprehension of Sahid A. Guiamadel alyas "Jun Aliman" who was involved in the brutal killing of 57 person in Maguindanao wherein among the victims were the wife of then Buluan Vice Mayor Toto Mangudadatu and his two sisters, members of media, lawyers, aides and civilian motorist who were mistakenly identified as part of the convoy on November 23, 2009.

Bartolome commended the intensive manhunt operations conducted by PNP units nationwide. (PNA)
