Cops nab South Korean who defrauded countryman of P170,000

MANILA, April 26 – The Philippine National Police (PNP) announced on Thursday the arrest of a South Korean national who allegedly defrauded his countryman of P170,000 in Talisay City, Cebu.

Reports relayed by the Cebu police to the PNP headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City identified the suspect as Kee Jung Hae, 35, a resident of Lagtang, Talisay City.

He was arrested at around 9:25 a.m. by Cebu policemen based on the complaint of Jang Jungyu, 51, who claimed that the suspect was able to withdraw P170,000 from his Banco De Oro account.

Appropriate charges are now being prepared against Kee. (PNA) DCT/scs/PFN
