MANILA, March 21 – On the 33rd day of the impeachment trial against Supreme Court (SC) Chief Justice Renato Corona, Alveo Land customer relations head Carmina Cruz returned to the witness stand.

Before the additional direct-examination on Cruz, defense counsel Atty. Jose "Judd" Roy III made a manifestation denying a newspaper article which says that he and Cruz are allegedly in a relationship.

Senate Impeachment Court presiding officer Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile said, "Let's forget about that."

Cruz presented to the Impeachment Court the copies of a letter on notification and the acceptance of The Columns condominium unit by Mrs. Cristina Corona, the wife of CJ Corona.

Cruz also presented the June 2006 letter to Mrs. Corona inviting her to inspect her unit in The Columns.

Cruz also presented The Columns' "punch list" detailing the repairs needed in Corona Columns condominium unit, which Enrile ordered marked correspondingly.

Cruz said that she wrote a letter to Mrs. Corona informing her that "changes" to her unit have been completed.

Cruz also presented a document, which states that Mrs. Corona accepted The Columns unit in August 2009.

The prosecution panel did not cross-examine Cruz, maintaining that, her testimony is irrelevant. (PNA)
