Oreta claims success in road repair, canal de-clogging

MANILA, Feb. 18 – Malabon Mayor Canuto "Tito" Oreta said that his administration has so far repaired and upgraded 10,530.6 meters of roads and rehabilitated 9,919.50 meters of canals, thus easing traffic and flood woes of the city.

He also said that protective dikes have already been constructed in most of the city's 21 barangays.

Oreta said that expanding and improving the city’s infrastructure was part of his 10-improvement agenda, which include improving public school education, increasing health coverage for his constituents, creation of mass housing projects for the city’s marginalized sector, livelihood projects, delivery of basic services, construction of anti-flooding infrastructures, infrastructure development and construction of new public market, hospital and city jail.

He also vowed to widen the city's major roads and improve them further to attract more investors who will set-up businesses that will gainfully employ city residents.(PNA)
