(Metro News) Valenzuela City gets P8.7M worth of patrol vehicles

MANILA, Nov. 25 – The Local Peace and Order Council (LCPC) of Valenzuela City, through its chairman, Mayor Sherwin T. Gatchalian, turned over recently P8,973,400 worth of vehicles to the city police force, the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (LDRRMC) and Barangay Palasan Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC).

The LDRRMC received two units of Toyota Grandia Rescue Ambulance worth P1,900,000 each, while the Valenzuela City Police Mobile Patrol got two units of Isuzu D-Max Pick-up Trucks worth P903,000 each and three Isuzu Crosswind vehicles worth P833,700 apiece. Barangay Palasan received one unit Suzuki APV Ambulance worth P850,000.

Valenzuela City Police Station head Supt. Wilben Mayor, expressed gratitude to the local government in promoting Valenzuela City as a safe and orderly place to live and put investment in.

“We reciprocate the support of the local government with 100 percent commitment in protecting the citizens of Valenzuela,” he said.

Gatchalian assured that the city government will continue investing in the safety and security of Valenzuelanos.

"That is why we continually uphold our Police Capability Enhancement Program which aims to boost the morale of our police force. We also strengthen the City’s Disaster Management Program so that Valenzuela City will always be ready to respond in case of calamity and other emergencies,” he said. (PNA) scs/PFN
