CebuPacific, Airphil cancel flights due to inclement weather

MANILA, Nov. 15 — Two airlines grounded several flights to Bicol region and Visayas area due to inclement weather.

The country's pioneer budget carrier Cebu Pacific said flights in following areas have been cancelled due to the weather system affecting the country:

5J 323/324 MNL-Legaspi-MNL <br>5J 519/520 MNL-Naga-MNL <br>5J 711/712 MNL-Catarman-MNL <br>5J 373/374 MNL-Roxas-MNL <br>5J 339/340 MNL-Kalibo-MNL <br>5J 504/505 MNL-Tuguegarao-MNL

"We always place top priority in your safety; thank you for your understanding. Please do stay tuned for more developments," the airline said in an advisory.

Affected passengers will be accommodated on the next available flights, it added.

Passengers of this flight may also rebook within 30 days of cancellation or Travel Fund without penalties, the conmpany said.

Meanwhile Airphil Express, Philippine Airline's budget carrier arm issued a bulletin stating two flights in Samar have been canceled as well.

Flights 2P 029/030 (Manila-Catarman, vv) were cancelled due to bad weather at its destination, the statement said.

As of late, a weak tropical disturbance has been spotted along the NE Coast of Panay Island or in the vicinity of Pilar Bay.

Its broad rainbands is expected to bring cloudy skies, light to moderate winds w/ scattered to widespread rains, squalls & thunderstorms across Central, Eastern & Southern Luzon including Metro Manila, Bicol Region, Palawan, Northern and Central Visayas.

The LPA is expected to move into Mindoro tonight and will be over the West Philippine Sea on Wednesday. (PNA)<br>DCT/MPC
