MANILA, Oct. 26 — Some 600 uniformed policemen and volunteers will be tasked to secure Valenzuela City's 10 cemeteries during the observance of All Saints' and All Souls' Days on November 1 and 2.

The Valenzuela City Police Station (VCPS) said that the security task force will be deployed to Karuhatan Public Cemetery, Maysan Public Cemetery, Saint Angelus Private Cemetery and Valenzuela Public Cemetery, both in Arkong Bato, Lozada Private Cemetery, Valenzuela Memorial Cemetery, Ever Memorial Cemetery, Tierra Santa Cemetery, Saint John and Santa Perpetua Cemetery, and Roman Catholic Cemetery, all located in Lawang Bato.

The VCPS added that the yearly liquor ban in cemeteries will start on October 31 and end on November 2. Persons caught sneaking in intoxicating drinks, deadly weapons, prohibited drugs and other banned items like huge sound speakers will be charged accordingly.

The VCPS also said that medical teams from the Department of Health will be setting up first aid stations in the above-mentioned cemeteries to care for persons who may suffer from heatstroke or any other sudden illness while commemorating All Saints' and Souls' Days. (PNA)
