KALIBO, Aklan, Jan. 8 — Officers and members of the Publishers Association of the Philippines, Inc. (PAPI) expect an exciting two-day visioning and planning exercise on January 10-11, 2011 here.

PAPI is well known not only for its steadfast defense of Press Freedom and promotion of human rights and civil liberties, but also for its active advocacy of relevant and cogent development issues.

PAPI president Juan P. Dayang said their Board officers and regional chairmen are all eager to reformulate their organization’s Vision and Mission, as well as rechart their future direction.

Dayang said their two-day visioning and planning workshop will be attended and participated in by members of the PAPI Board of Directors, regional chairmen, and other media affiliates who are also excited to help draw up PAPI’s program for the next three years and beyond.

Adding more excitement, Dayang said, is the opportunity to also witness and participate in the world famous Kalibo Ati-Atihan Festival that opens on January 10 and last until January 16 this year.

Dayang said the PAPI exercise will gather more than 30 of their key players nationwide. (PNA)
