MANILA, Sept. 28 –- Many resident of Quezon City, particularly Novaliches, lined up again for deep-well water from neighborhood dealers after Angat Hydroelectric Power Plant in Bulacan was shut down around 6:00 a.m. by the National Power Corporation (NPC).

Most of them are consumers of Maynilad Water Services Inc. (MWSI) in Barangay Batasan Hills in Quezon City who lined up for water ration. The community is among the 32 barangays in Metro Manila that are affected by the temporary water supply cut.

MWSI officials said previously-announced water supply interruption was due to the scheduled maintenance work at the Angat Dam in Bulacan, which supplies over 90 percent of the Metro Manila’s water needs. (PNA) V3/JCA
