FLASH!!! US Ambassador Thomas offers RP assistance to bring Zambo bombers to justice

MANILA, Aug. 5 —- US ambassador to Manila Harry Thomas Jr. offered his government's assistance to the Philippine government that would bring to justice those responsible in the bomb blast that rocked the perimeter of Zamboanga International Airport Thursday early evening.

A still unidentified man reportedly carrying the explosive device is the lone casualty of the explosion as of this writing but there were also reported injuries to several civilians, including Sulu Gov. Abubabakar Tan, who earlier declared that he may be the target of the blast.

”The U.S. stands ready to offer any assistance requested by the Philippine authorities so that those responsible may be brought to justice, Thomas said in mobile messages sent to the Philippines News Agency through the embassy’s deputy press attache Wossie Mazengia. (PNA)
