BACOLOD CITY, April 11 – A major Indian outsourcing company is eyeing this city as its potential expansion site outside of Metro Manila.

Pushkar Misra, president and chief executive officer of Hinduja Global Solutions (HGS) based in India, met recently with Bacolod Councilor Jocelle Batapa-Sigue, chair of the Bacolod-Negros Occidental Federation for Information and Communications Technology (BNEFIT) and its members coming from the academe, human resource and telecommunications sector.

Misra said HGS has a site in Eastwood, Quezon City of more than 3,000 agents and now seeks to expand and open at least two centers by July this year outside of Metro Manila.

They have included Bacolod in their shortlist because the city already hosts big names in the industry and its quality manpower.

It planned to initially start with 650 seats in July.

Depending on the complexity of skills that Bacolod can host, HGS can bring in a wide range of not only voice-based but also non-voice and back-office work, Misra said.

Misra said HGS has more than 3,000 agents in its site in Metro Manila. (PNA)
