MANILA, March 2 – Officials of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Tuesday commended the Pasig City Police, led by Sr. Supt. Jessie Cardona, for their support in the intensified anti-drug campaign in the city.

PDEA Director General Dionisio R. Santiago cited the latest joint anti-narcotics operation by PDEA Agents, together with the Pasig City Police and the Anti-Drug Abuse Council of Pasig (ADCOP) on Feb. 25, 2010 at the Vicper Compound in Barangay Malinao.

The implementation of a Search Warrant against three target drug personalities resulted in the confiscation of several sachets of shabu, marijuana, assorted drug paraphernalia and a bladed weapon.

Santiago said this was the kind of cooperation that they expect from the local police because they were the primary partners in drug law enforcement, owing to their greater number and nationwide scope. (PNA) RMA/JCA
