Tupas seeks P180-M supplemental budget

ILOILO CITY, Oct. 28 – Gov. Niel D. Tupas Sr. is asking the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to approve the first supplemental budget of the province amounting to over P180 million.

His office is asking additional funding for the maintenance and other operating expenses of the capitol’s various departments.

The total for the maintenance and other operating expenses alone reached P85,570,119.

Included in the Governor’s request are: Honorarium of Day Care Workers-P3.314 million; Barangay Service Point Officers-P4.25 million; Barangay Health Workers-P14.756 million; and Barangay Nutrition Scholars-P1.692 million.

The proposed additional funding for gasoline, oil and lubricants and the repair and maintenance of roads, highways and bridges and heavy equipment of the Provincial Engineer’s Office amounted to P27,206,844. (PNA) LDV/DISinay/vlo
