KALIBO, Aklan, Sept. 30 — The Aklanon Sto. Nino Association in British Columbia, Canada is inviting Filipinos in Canada to join their "thriller night" event to be staged at the St. Patrick Gym on October 31.

The "thriller night" is their own version of "aswang festival."

"Get your haloween costumes ready and win fabulous prices from the Aklanons," Jojo Quimpo, president of the association, said.

The thriller night Halloween costume contest has two categories; one for kids and another for adults.

"Cash prices will be awarded for the top three best Halloween costumes of the night for each category. There will be a dinner and a live band and expect a lot of fun," he added.

The thriller night is just one of the several major activities of the association of Aklanons in Canada.

The others are the annual Sto. Nino Ati-Atihan Festival and the Grand Picnic, which is a fellowship among Aklanons living in Canada. (PNA)
