Philippine Global Road Safety Partnership signing ceremony at Manila Hotel

3007dpwh001Public Works and Highways Secretary Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. (extreme left) signs the Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws of the Philippine Global Road Safety Partnership Inc. (PGRSP) at Sampaguita Hall of the Manila Hotel Wednesday (July 29, 2009). PGRSP is a non-stock, non-profit organization founded on the basic principles of the Global Road Safety Partnership that brings together government agencies, business entities and civil society to a common task of addressing global and local road safety issues. Its incorporators are: The Automobile Association of the Philippines, Car Manufactures of the Philippines Inc., Ford Philippines, Independent Philippine Petroleum Companies Association, Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association Inc., Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co., Pilipinas Shell, Tollways Association of the Philippines and the Truck Manufacturers Association, with support coming from the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and Department of Health (DOH).
