Switzerland condemns Jakarta suicide bombings

GENEVA, July 18 — The Swiss Foreign Ministry on Friday strongly condemned bomb attacks on two luxury hotels in Indonesian capital Jakarta which killed at least nine people and injured more than 60.

In a statement, the ministry said it "condemns in the strongest terms" the bomb attacks carried out on Friday.

The ministry "is devastated at the bomb attacks in Jakarta which have claimed numerous innocent victims," it said.

In the statement, the ministry also expressed "its solidarity with the Indonesian government and people at this difficult time and its sincere condolences to the families of the victims of these barbaric acts." (PNA/Xinhua) ALM
