141106182659The Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO), through its News and Information Bureau (NIB) Gender and Development Program, led Thursday the conduct of the First Inter-Collegiate Campus Forum on the theme “Towards a Gender Fair Media.” With the City University of Pasay as host campus, the forum, attended by communication arts and journalism students from other universities and colleges in Metro Manila held at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City. PCOO Secretary Herminio B. Coloma Jr., (center, holding microphone), who is concurrently chairperson of the government’s Gender Equality Committee (GEC), emphasized the essence of being aware, knowledgeable and pro-active in order to move towards the achievement of the goal of coming out with a gender sensitive media.
