SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, Antique, May 9 -– Vote counting machines (VCMs) misreading and paper jam were among the problems encountered by the Board of Election Inspectors (BEI) in today’s election, Comelec Supervisor Atty. Jessie Suarez said in an interview.

He said that these were minor hitches which they were able to address immediately.

Suarez further said that the misreading or paper jam could be due to the misalignment of ballot or over-shading.

He said that they have already instructed the BEIs what to do to prevent occurrence of similar problems.

The election in Antique went peacefully with no major problems. (PNA)
