PDEA-ARMM arrest 11 in anti illegal drug operation in Maguindanao

SULTAN KUDARAT, Maguinanao, Dec. 26 – Eleven persons have been arrested in an anti-narcotics operations conducted on Christmas Day by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Autonomous Region ion Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-ARMM), an anti-narcotic official said on Saturday.

Jeffrey Tacio, regional director of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-ARMM), said the joint PDEA and Philippine National Police (PNP) and Philippine Army (PA) operations were conducted in Barangay Pigcalagan, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.

Armed with search warrants issued by a local court, government agents arrested the suspects and identified them as Ebrahim Lanang Ali, Canapi Ali Solaiman, Christopher Ragasa Crisologo, Renelito Salcedo Espartero, Samsudin Mokamad, Ruel Aporada Pineda, Jason Omar Amar, Rodelio Mosco Awtajay, Ismael Dagadas Dali, Argie Yala Unabia, Renben Kuan Estolaga, Alvin Siit Cacapit, Joenifer Asanji Magluyan and Eden Ali Saliguidan, all residents of the area.

Tacio said the law enforcers were after Ma. Suzzane Patagan Saliguidan, alias “Soshane,” and Eden Ali Saliguidan. They were known as operators of illegal drug den in Barangay Pigcalagan, a few kilometers away from the headquarters of the Army’s 603rd Infantry Brigade.

About 50 sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride were recovered from the drug den, shabu paraphernalia and an unlicensed cal. 45 pistol.

Now detained at PDEA-ARMM detention cell, the suspects are facing violations for Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
