Shamkhani: Iran Air Force to probably cooperate with Russia’s Sukhoi

TEHRAN, Nov. 10 — Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), Ali Shamkhani said there is a probability for cooperation between Iran’s Air Force and Russia’s Sukhoi company.

The senior official made the remarks while visiting IRNA pavilion at 21st Press Exhibition here on Tuesday.

He said the Iranian Air Force is studying to purchase the warplanes which best suit its needs.

On Syrian crisis, he said Iran will support political scenario without further bloodshed.

Russian media has already quoted Iranian officials as saying that the two countries had signed deals worth billion for the purchase of satellite-related Russian equipment as well as airplanes.

The 21st Press Exhibition started work on November 7 and will last for a week. Its theme is Fair Criticism and Accountability.

Some 22 representatives from 11 foreign media companies, including China, France, Germany, Iraq, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Russia, Turkey, and USA have sent delegates to the event to introduce their media to the Iranian visitors.

Over 600 domestic media are to display their works and activities in some 567 pavilions. (PNA/IRNA)
