LME base metals close mixed on Monday

LONDON, Sept. 22 — The base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed mixed on Monday, as investors tried to get a grip on the state of the global economy.

The three-month unofficial copper price increased USD 7.5, or 0.14 percent, to USD 5,270 per tonne.

The three-month unofficial aluminium price lost USD 6.5, or 0.40 percent, to USD 1,619.5 a tonne.

The three-month unofficial lead price lost USD 5, or 0.30 percent, to USD 1,686 a tonne.

Besides, the three-month unofficial zinc price lost 30 dollars, or 1.77 percent, to USD 1,665 a tonne.

The three-month unofficial nickel price increased USD 75, or 0.77 percent, to USD 9,862.5 a tonne.

The three-month unofficial tin price increased USD 150, or 1.00 percent, to USD 15,225 a tonne. (PNA/Xinhua)
