COTABATO CITY, Sept. 10 — Two persons were killed while two others were wounded critically in another shooting incident Wednesday night here.

Four men on board two separate motorbikes first shot dead a certain Jordan Talusop of Shariff Kabunsuan, Cotabato City while he was standing along SK Pendatun Avenue. He died on the spot.

The incident that occurred at past 9 p.m. was few meters away from a team of Army Special Forces conducting checkpoint in the same street.

The soldiers responded but the four suspects traded shots with them, forcing them to return fire that left one of them dead, two others wounded and another arrested.

Supt. Rex Anongos, city police director, identified the slain suspect as Roland Kabatuan.

Arrested was Ben Montes, alias Black Moro, whose group is involved in several crime incidents in the city. A caliber 45 pistol he used in killing Talusop was recovered by soldiers.

His companions, Alima Adam and Michael Montes, were wounded.

After killing Talusop, the suspects fled on two motorbikes while trading bullets with the soldiers.

Police are still determining the motive of the incidents.
