MANILA, Aug. 10 – Senator Grace Poe said on Monday Liberal Party (LP) presidential candidate Manuel ‘Mar’ Roxas has sent an emissary inviting her to a meeting to discuss the 2016 elections.

”He (Roxas) told someone that we’ll meet again, but the date has not yet been determined,” Poe told the Senate media.

Poe said she is open to talk with Roxas, who has been endorsed by President Benigno Aquino III as the administration’s standard-bearer in the 2016 presidential race.

Roxas is reportedly eager to convince Poe as his running mate in a bid to improve his chances and rating in the presidential surveys.

Based on the recent Pulse Asia’s survey for possible presidential candidates, Roxas was on third place behind Poe and Vice President Jejomar Binay.

Before President Aquino endorsed Roxas last July 31, Poe met Roxas along with the President and Senator Francis Escudero in Malacanang. (PNA)
