ILOILO CITY, July 27 — The Iloilo City Community College (ICCC) is now recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog stressed the welcome development is a manifestation of the City Government’s success in providing affordable, accessible and quality public education to underprivileged but deserving students, giving them the opportunity to finish college.

As CHED-recognized, ICCC will be entitled to CHED benefits such as scholarships for students and teachers.

This, after CHED’s Commission En Banc (CEB) decided favorably on ICCC’s application for recognition to operate as a Higher Education Institution (HEI).

The assessment was based on results of verification visit conducted July 2-3 which was presented by Office of Institutional Quality Assurance and Governance (OIQAG) during National Directorate meeting July 6-7.

As approved by CEB Resolution No. 356-2015, CHED-6 is advised to facilitate and monitor ICCC’s compliance of CHED requirements. (PNA)
