Splash more than doubles profit in H1 to Php 93 M

MANILA, July 13 (PNA) — Listed personal care and food company Splash Corp. said Monday first-semester profit grew by a whopping 133 percent, driven by stronger sales here and abroad.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, Splash said net income reached Php93 million in January to June from Php39.9 million during the same period last year.

Revenues from personal care Philippines expanded by 17 percent, while personal care International grew by 19 percent. Total food sales rose by eight percent.

Splash’s personal care flagship products Maxipeel and SkinWhite continued to sell strongly and maintained their dominance of the Philippine market.

These brands also continued their strong showing in international markets including Africa, Middle East and Indo-China.

In food, the newly introduced Barrio Fiesta product lines to the United States market such as canned meals, specialty vinegars and recipe mixes, performed strongly.

In the Middle East, the growth of the distribution network for Splash foods contributed to higher sales.

From a leadership position in the Philippines, Splash is successfully venturing into high-growth markets in Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East and North America. (PNA)
