3 EU nations export €50m of wheat to Iran in Q1

TEHRAN, June 1 — Germany, Lithuania, and Latvia exported € 50 million of wheat to Iran in the first quarter of 2015, showing over four-fold drop from € 221 million in the first quarter of 2014, according to the EU statistics agency Eurostat.

Germany exported € 38 million worth of wheat to Iran in the first quarter of this year, showing 74 percent fall from € 149 million in the first quarter of the last year.

Lithuania’s exports of wheat to Iran fell by 77 percent to € 8 million in the first three-month of 2015 from € 35 million in the same period of time last year.

Latvia’s wheat exports to Iran stood at € 4 million in the first quarter of 2015, with 89 percent drop from € 37 million in the first quarter of 2014. (PNA/IRNA)
