Pahiyas Festival 2015 in Lucban, Quezon surpasses record in tourist attendance

LUCBAN, Quezon May 19 (PNA) — The just concluded Pahiyas Festival in this town usually celebrated every May 15 broke last year’s 3.2-Million number of local and foreign tourists attendance.

In a post celebration meeting on Monday, Mayor Oli Dator announced that as per records of the Local Tourism Office and a non government organization (NGO) the number of tourists reached 3.8-Million in this year’s celebration.

Mayor Dator said that this year new activities were infused getting the attention of tourists to visit the place for the festival including politicians, celebrities, famous bands and business people who patronize the products of this town..

Moreover, the mayor gave credit also to the tourism office for declaring the Pahiyas Festival as one of the Top Ten Tourist Destination in the country. (PNA)
