DPWH announces bridge closure in Batangas, Camarines Sur and Pangasinan

MANILA, May 20 (PNA) — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced on Wednesday the closure to vehicular traffic bridges in Batangas, Camarines Sur and Pangasinan due to the on-going construction activities.

No vehicles were allowed to pass the Lapu-Lapu Bridge along San Jose-Ibaan Provincial Road in Brgy. Lapu-Lapu, Ibaan, Batangas, starting May 4, 2015 up to Nov. 16, 2015 because of the on-going construction/replacement works.

The San Jose Bridge in Pili, Camarines Sur was closed to vehicular traffic from May 14 to May 30, 2015. 

The DPWH has provided alternate routes, which are the SanFernando–Minalabac-Bula-Pili Road, and Palestina-Minalabac-Pili Road. The two alternate routes are open to all types of vehicles while the other alternate routes of Milaor-Minalabac-Pili Road and Milaor-Minalabac Road are for light vehicles. 

The Padilla Bridge in Lingayen, Pangasinan will be closed to vehicles for six months starting May 20, 2015 due to replacement works for the bridge deck slab.

Motorists are advised to take the Lingayen via Domalandan Bridge-Labrador, Pangasinan-Barangay Soconi, Bugallon, Pangasinan Road as detour route during the construction period.

The DPWH said that appropriate warnings including directional signs for detour roads were installed to guide motorists and commuters in the said provinces.
