400 residents of Bacolod City avail free eye checkup

BACOLOD CITY, March 30 — More than 400 residents in 20 barangays of Bacolod, as well as several City Hall employees, availed free eye checkup while other were given reading and prescription eyeglasses, during the Mega Eye Camp at the Government Center Saturday.

The activity was spearheaded by the Punjabi Khalsa Diwan and members of the Bacolod-Indian community in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Indian Sikh Temple in Bacolod

Ten optometrists, among them Doctors Rolando Lee, Celeste Lim, Amy Villaruz, Alison Acebedo, Pia Jennifer Paz and Mike Daswani, administered the eye examinations.

Eye Camp coordinator Haresh Chugani said that a second iteration will be scheduled in the 3rd quarter of this year and will cater to the residents of other Bacolod barangays.(PNA)
