Baler LGU, partners to conduct free medical mission

BALER, Aurora, March 26 — The municipal government, in collaboration with the different partner stakeholders, will hold free medical, dental and ophthalmic mission on Saturday in three separate areas here as part of the continuing efforts to deliver health services to the residents.

Town Mayor Nelianto “Pilot” C. Bihasa said the three activities in one day which is in partnership with the Kaugnay Media Defense Corps, 56th Infantry “Tatag” Battalion, Philippine Army, Forth Magsaysay Army Station, Nueva Ecija Ophthalmologists Society, 7th Infantry Division Public Affairs Office, Lions Club district 301-D1, Central Luzon Media Association (CLMA), Office of Vice President Jejomar Binay and local media, are targeting over 2,500 beneficiaries.

“This 3-in-1 activity is wholeheartedly offered first to the people of Baler. This is one of my priority programs,” Bihasa said.

The groups will bring their own medical equipment and free medicines.

The activities will be held in Sentro Baler, Baler Municipal Plaza and Sabang Barangay Hall. It will start at 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Army will provide free haircut services during the medical mission at Sentro Baler.

Lt. Col. Joey S. Escanillas, 56th IB, battalion commander, said the activity is in line with the IPSP Bayanihan and Army Transformation Roadmap which aims to deliver basic services to the public.

Prior to the said activity, the CLMA and Kaugnay Media will organize local chapters here and will elect set of officers.

The groups are expected to arrive on Friday afternoon. (PNA)
