ILOILO CITY, March 17 – The Iloilo Provincial Veterinarian is set to receive 1,400 vials of anti-rabies vaccines from the Department of Health (DOH) Wednesday.

Iloilo Provincial Veterinarian Ildefonso Toledo said that the vaccines shipped by the DOH Central Office were part of its support for the massive dog vaccination in the towns of New Lucena and the island of Pan de Azucar in Concepcion towns that were targeted to be declared rabies free on Sept. 8 during the World Rabies Day celebration.

Earlier on, the Provincial Veterinary Office also received 440 vaccine carriers for the use by trained technicians in preserving the vaccines needed in the mass immunization. (PNA)
