MANILA, March 15 (PNA) — Bad weather prompted the cancellation of three flights to and from Guam on Sunday, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said in an advisory.

According to MIAA, among flights cancelled include UA 190 (Manila-Guam), UA 183 (Guam-Manila), and UA 184 (Manila-Guam).

All flights belong to United Airlines.

Reports from the Guam National Weather Service showed that the center of a tropical storm “Bavi” with maximum sustained winds of 50 mph is expected to pass over Guam Sunday evening.

The weather bureau however, noted that Bavi had weakened slightly compared to conditions on Saturday when the weather service reported that typhoon force winds were possible for the island.

At present, a tropical storm warning remains in effect for the country. (PNA)
