Swine flu toll in Coimbatore rises to three

COIMBATORE, March 4 — A 41-year-old man Wednesday succumbed to swine flu at the Government Hospital here, taking the toll to three deaths in three days.

Mohandas, who hailed from Dharapuram in nearby Tirupur district and was involved in manufacturing automobile spare parts, was admitted with the symptoms of the H1N1 influenza a week ago, after his return from Pune, hospital officials said.

He died around 7:15 a.m., they said. (PNA/PTI)
